SDPB's Science guy - Steven ?Science Steve? Rokusek - uses humor and fascinating demonstrations to bring scientific laws and principles to life. The interactive presentations in physics, chemistry and biology are entertaining for kids and adults.

In addition to his role as ?Science Steve,? Rokusek develops resource materials for educators and provides in-service training at schools and education conferences across the state. Steven designs and updates the content on the education section of the SDPB website, the Digital Learning Library and SDPB's submissions to the national PBS LearningMedia site and generates a weekly education e-newsletter for teachers and parents.

 Steven Rokusek, a native of Tyndall, SD, graduated from Dakota State University with a degree in Biology and Computer Education. He has taught physics, physical science, anatomy, biology and earth science. He is a recipient of the Golden Apple Award for Teachers, the Who's Who Among Teachers Award, the Archdiocese of Omaha Teacher of the Year Award the 2016 SoDakSACA ?SACCY? Award. He has also been nominated for a regional Emmy Award.
